AH Slurry Pump
A slurry pump is a piece of equipment used to transport slurry, a mixture of solids and liquids.ah slurry pump It is typically used in the mining industry to transport abrasive rock and dirt. Slurry pumps are available in many sizes, and they can be powered by either electric motors or diesel engine driven. They can also be configured with various impeller and shaft seals, depending on the application. They can also be fitted with a variety of controls, including VFDs (variable frequency drives).
AH Slurry Pump
Designed for hyper heavy duty applications AH slurry pumps are used in coal preparation, pipeline transport, high velocity hydraulic transport, mineral processing, Cyclone feeds, fine primary mill grinding, chemical slurry service, tailings and water flushed crusher services.ah slurry pump Their versatile design, tough materials and exceptional wear resistance allow them to adapt to unique conditions.
The wetted parts of a slurry pump are made from durable, corrosion-resistant materials that can handle abrasive slurries. They can be constructed from hard metal, rubber or polyurethane. A large diameter shaft minimizes deflection and contributes to long bearing life. The cartridge type housing is bolted, not glued, to the casing, which allows for easy maintenance and removal of the impeller and other components.
A slurry pump’s process speed doesn’t have much to do with its life. It has more to do with the slurry’s consistency and viscosity. If the slurry is too thick, it will wear out the impeller quickly. This is why it’s important to find the right balance between process speed and pump size.
In chemical processing plants, ah slurry pumps are critical for ensuring that corrosive chemicals can be transported safely and efficiently. They are also ideal for handling abrasive slurries in power plants. The abrasion-resistant construction of these pumps is crucial for maintaining plant safety and reducing costly downtime.
The AH Slurry Pump is a horizontal, centrifugal pump for continuous service. It is designed for use in the most severe abrasive and corrosive applications such as power plant, mining, metallurgy, coal washing, dredging, building material and cyanide leaching industries.
It offers improved performance with higher discharge pressure and lower power consumption than standard designs. It features the Warman WRT impeller and throatbush combination which offers enhanced hydraulic profiles, reduced turbulence, extended wear performance and lower power consumption.
The AH heavy duty slurry pumps can be equipped with a variety of different shaft seals to suit any application. These include gland seal, lip seal, expeller seal and mechanical seals. A slurry pump can be connected to the electric motor via a shaft coupler, or it can be coupled directly to the motor output shaft. The latter option is usually used if floor space is limited or the risk of flooding exists. It is also referred to as a direct-coupled or DC drive pump.
